Last Week

So I totally suck at this blogging thing. Sorry for those who check my blog. My hope was that I would update at least once a week while I was student teaching. As you can see I did it the first week and now I am writing on my last week! So two out of sixteen is really crappy sorry.
Anyways, my student teaching is ending this week and I am really excited because that means that I graduate in two weeks. On the other hand though I am really sad because I have to leave my kids. So I have some mixed emotions about the whole thing.
So exciting news is that I put in an application for this charter school in Gilbert and they called me in for an interview. I was extremely nervous but it went well and they liked what they saw and asked me to come back for a second interview on Monday! They asked that I had a lesson prepared so that I would be able to teach it to them. That also went really well so now i am just waiting for them to call and let me know either way. Whatever happens I am glad that I have my first interview out of the way and now I know what to expect when I go on interviews. But I will let you know what happens.

One Week Down! Only Fifteen More!

I made it through my first week! Okay, so I didn't really have to do that much this week and that made it really easy to get through. After one whole week though I believe that I can say that it is going to be a great semester. I love the kids in my class! They are so cute and so funny! For those that don't know I am at Whittier Elementary in a first grade classroom. Today in class they were making folders for the work that is going to be given to their parents during parent/teacher conferences and one little boy in my class asked me if I could guess what his picture was that he had drawn on it. My guess was a house on a hill. He soon corrected me "It is I house built on a rock like the wise man. Just like the song!" He then turned the folder over and there was a picture of a house on its side in the sand! It took all I had not to laugh because my teacher who is not a member had a look on her face like what the heck is he talking and about and how does this girl know this song! Anyways I think that this semester is going to be the best! I can't wait to experience more.

Frist Day!

Today was my first day of student teaching! I can't tell you how excited I am to finally be at this point in my education! I can't wait to start the actual teaching part. I am just kind of an aid for a while and they will phase me in and out of the classroom. So I will get there eventually. To tell you the truth I was a little nervous to start today but as soon as the students walked in they were all happy to see me again and all ran up to give me a hug so that made everything better. I will try to post so pictures later.

I'm Still Here I Promise

I know, I know! It has been forever since I have written a post! I promise I am still alive. Here is a little of what I have been up to this last semester!

In November we had an institute formal dance which was so much fun but also kind of crazy! my roommate Mary was the one incharge of the formal so the whole setting up and taking down was the crazy part but I so at ton of fun! Ashley, another roommate had the job to decorate the enterance to the dance and if I do say so myself it turned out amzing! Josh Heywood came up to Flagstaff for the dance which was way fun too!

(This is only the end of the entrance but it was the best Part!)

(This is the group that we had dinner with.)

(Me and my date)
Another exciting thing that happened is that Mandy FINALLY came to visit me in Flag!!!!!!! She was here for five days and we had a total blast! The best part was that we had our first Snow Fall while she was here!

Here is Mandy and the Snow covering our truck!

We went around taking pictures of random things and this is one of my favorites.

I just love this picture!

So these are a little out of order but I don't feel like fixing them so we jump to Christmas! I love Christmas so it is a good thing that all my roommates do as well! We have had Christmas set up in our apartment since the day after Thanksgiving! We have a real tree that makes our apartment smell amazing!!!!!!!! I love it! And San-T&A came to visit us already and brought me and my roommates matching pj's so of course we had to take pictures!

Ashley, Carissa, Levi, Rhonda, Tim, and Mary. (Levi is an is basically a roommate because he only goes home to sleep and change.)

All the Roomies!

So San-T&A was really Tim and Ashley so Thanks Girls! We all love you!

The same night that we got the pj's we, as in bluiding ten, decided to have a secret santa gift exchange. It was so fun and everyone gotsome great gifts! We start the night by reading the Christmas story and then the fun began!

This is Levi again you can't tell because the ribbon is turned but it says "Number 1 Levi!"

Yet again build ten decided that we needed to have a Thankgiving dinner and so we ended up with all of this.

This is only like a third of the food that we had that night!

This is some of the gang all nice in cozy in our little apartment.
So sorry this post was forever long but I had to catch up! So hope you enjoyed!

So up here in Flagstaff we are always doing something crazy and random. For example the other day we went slip 'n sliding at 11:33 when the sprinklers came on at our apartment complex! We also try to find our little skunk friend so that we can shoot him with an air soft gun that my roommate bought a couple of weeks ago or try to spotlight people as they walk by and the list goes on. One of my favorite random things that came about here in flagstaff is the time that we had a huge flour fight! We were sitting around trying to figure out something to do on a Saturday night when it come to us that we needed to have a flour sock war! But soon we found out that having flour in the bottom of socks really hurts when you get hit with them so we left the socks and just started throwing the flour which was a lot more fun because then it really left a mark! Here are some pictures of that great night!

It was a ton of fun! You should all try it sometime but make sure that you have a big place that you don't have to clean up after yourselves!

Dance Time!

So I love to dance! Those of you who know me know this to be true. This is a very good thing since in Flagstaff we have a dance once a month at the institute. These dances are always a lot of fun but after you go to so many of them you kind of know what to expect. So my roommates and neighbors decided that we were going to spice up the next dance! We found out that the next dance was a sock hop! So not only did we have the coolest socks but we also had the best outfits!

So this is the whole bunch that everyone called the skittles!

Me and Tim! Yes that it right Tim! Her name is Timothie and she is my roommate and we all call her Tim.

This one is of my and all my crazy roommates minus Preston he is our next door neighbor! They are the best roomies EVER! Love you girls!
